Because my 60-day shopping ban is officially over and I just turned 21, I splurged a little and decided to buy myself some stuff! Now, I wasn’t really planning on getting the two out of the three packages but they were generous enough to gift me with discount coupons so I knew I just couldn’t resist. I was just going to get the culottes but I thought, hey why not add some skincare/hair/make-up stuff and a pair of jeans that I’ve been dying to have as well? I mean, it’s not everyday that I’m being given coupons to use for my shopping so I might as well just grab the chance. So here are the items that I got for myself from Copper, BeautyMNL, and Shopee.
Blush Culottes. I am in love with this color! My black and white dominant closet is now showing some life in the color that I used to hate. When I first bought my pink coat from Forever21, my parents were surprised because I always refused to wear pink. But there’s something about blush pink things that just tugs at my heartstrings. Perhaps it’s calling to my five year old self. Lol. Anyway, I bought this so I can wear it to my birthday dinner with my family (which is tonight). I’m also thinking of doing a 1 item 3 ways post with this. What do you guys think? Anyway, I received it just in time for my birthday (yesterday) so it really felt like a present! Huge thanks to my big sister for getting me this pair <3
I wasn’t really planning on using my birthday coupon because I didn’t want to pay a shipping fee (LOL) but it just so happened that the morning they sent me an e-mail for their birthday present to me is also the last day of their free shipping promo! Talk about right timing. So I gave it a go and decided to give these babies a try.
Lip and Cheek Stain Alive! in Creamy Peach from Skin Genie. I’m not a huge make-up girl. My sister used to always get mad at me for not letting her experiment on my face. I’ve only started to regularly do (and actually learn how) my eyebrows this year. It’s the only cosmetic product I wear. I remember I bought a lipstick once but I never got to use it because I felt self-conscious. I bought a lip liner this year (which was planning to use as a lipstick, lol) but I gave it to my sister because I never got the chance to wear it out. This product from Skin Genie had good reviews and it’s pretty cheap so I gave it a shot! I tried it out as soon as I got it and I loved how it looks on my lips. It’s subtle so I don’t look super made up (I hate looking like I spent 30mins on my face!). I haven’t tried it out as a cheek tint yet mainly because I’m not keen on face make-up. 😀
Beach Born Sea Salt Spray from Beach Born. I’ve been wanting to get a sea salt spray for ages! I smelled the one from LUSH but it was too expensive for a small bottle, so I put off buying it. This also had good reviews and it says in the description that it can also double as a dry shampoo! Seriously, why shouldn’t I get it? Talk about double purpose. I sprayed it on my damp hair and I love love love how it looks! I’m such a sucker for beach waves. <3
LipScrub from DETAIL. I’ve always been curious about lip scrubs because the last thing I worry about are my lips. So when they became all the rage, I naturally wanted to try one but I was still on the fence about actually purchasing one. Again, I gave it a go because the reviews said that it really softened their lips and it does! I tried it on this morning and I like how my lips felt soft and not as dry as it used to be.
I’m going to go a bit off topic from BeautyMNL because this item I’m going to spill to you guys next isn’t from them (but is about beauty so I’m gonna put it here, still). People have always been obsessed with eyelashes; we’re always looking for the best mascara to make them look thicker but little did we know that there is a product that could actually make our lashes grow thicker. Yup, that’s right. I said grow, not look! Latisse is a topical solution that has been proven to make eyelashes grow thicker and longer because it contains the active ingredient bimatoprost. So amazing, right? It’s a heaven-sent item for me because I absolutely dislike wearing mascara because I cannot live without my eyeglasses. Mom Jeans. For the longest time, I’ve been meaning to get myself a pair of these but I always chicken out because I’m very picky about the way I want it to look on me. When I saw the pictures for this, I knew it was the style that I wanted. I got it in a size bigger so I can still have it altered if I don’t like the way it fits. It does fit me perfectly but it’s too long for me so I’m just going to have it shortened but I’m so in love with this pair because it does look good on me and the material is really of good quality. I’ll probably do a 1 item 3 ways with this too! 😀
And there they are! I know this isn’t that much of a haul but I just really wanted to write this post to show gratitude to BeautyMNL and Shopee for the birthday discount coupons. So generous of them. <3 I also got a birthday coupon from Sephora but the shipping fee is just too much for me (300PHP, omg no). But I still very much appreciate the gesture, maybe next year when I’m not so stingy with shipping fees. 😀 A little anecdote, I received the Shopee and BeautyMNL items at the same time today so today felt like an extension of my birthday! 😛
Oh, and as a treat for you guys, here’s a code you can use to score 10% off on items! Use the code ‘pepperonipia‘ for 10% off your purchase at SoAesthetic Shop and ShopYums! They’re from abroad but they ship worldwide so don’t you worry. 🙂
