I was thinking of what I want my blogging niche to be and I can’t quite decide which among lifestyle, travel, fashion, and beauty/skincare so I thought why not just let this space be a mix of all four. And it’s really fitting because I’ve already published posts about all categories except one — fashion. I love buying clothes and I love dressing up. Although my style is always laid back, I still like spending time to put on outfits and have my OOTD picture taken. I publish the photos on Instagram but I’ve never really blogged about any of my outfits. So I decided to start this new segment where I’ll pick an article of clothing which I will style in three different outfits. What do you think? 😀
I think you all know by now how much I love outerwear. The bottom shelf of my closet is filled with jackets, cardigans, parkas, hoodies, and sweaters. Every chance I get, I wear outerwear just so I can justify to my mother my borderline impractical purchases. The first article of clothing I am going to feature is my parka.
I am so in love with this parka that I got from @sun.dry on Instagram. I love it so much that I even wore it when I went to the beach a few months ago. Lol. Anyway, you guys might think that “hey that’s easy to style. You just throw it on whatever you’re wearing.” I don’t think it works that way though because some things only work with certain pieces or certain moods. For me, this parka works best with street style (which I am very much into lately). So here are three outfits that I wore with my parka.
Jean Mutation. I wore this on a date with Tim. It was a chilly day and it was drizzling a bit so I decided to bring it with me. This is a pretty easy outfit (everything on this list, actually) — I just stuck to my usual denim and white top combo. I wanted to wear it with shorts but my dad wouldn’t let me that day. Lol.
Black Out. This one I wore on a Krispy Kreme run with my mom and my brother. We accompanied him to have his hair cut and to do a bit of grocery shopping. Totally sneaked every shot inside the supermarket because it’s not allowed. Well done, brother. Well done. HAHA! (Supermarket picture is on my Instagram! :D)
School Girl Reminiscent. For our Barkin’ Blends and Silantro date, I wore this school girl inspired outfit. It kinda reminds me of my highschool uniform because the skort I was wearing is checkered and I was wearing a white buttondown. This outfit is one of my favorites because it went well with my fringe — made me look so Asian!
So, how did I do on my first fashion post? I know this is pretty simple and it’s not much (and the pictures aren’t coherent; the pictures I used in Black Out was actually a Seoul collage I did for AirAsia) but I promise I’ll post better ones when I’m not too shy to take pictures in a crowded place — I know I still have a lot to work on for my for blogging OOTD pictures! Anyway, you can check out my Instagram (@pepperonipia) for my past OOTDs if you want to. 😀
