GIRL BOSS

January 3, 2017

For our family’s last hurrah in 2016, we decided to go to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan. It was such a dream come true for me because I’ve always wanted to go. My mom always gushed about how beautiful the place is, so when we finally finalized the plan that we’re going to go, I made sure to dress my best to be able to at least match the pretty houses I’m going to be surrounded with. 😛

I had read that there would be a lot of walking so I made sure to wear comfortable shoes. I was supposed to wear my slides but I figured my trusty sneakers would have more cushion so I opted to go for it.

While planning this outfit, my priority was comfort over style. I wanted to wear something that I know I will feel comfortable in (because I also had my period that day HUHU) but would also look good in. So I went for an all black outfit so as not to clash with any color the houses might have, and also to hide the post-Christmas eve bulge!

I brought with me my favorite blush pink coat so as to break the monotonous black and white and paired it with a bag and cap of the same color.

I’m proud to say that I survived walking around Las Casas in my outfit! I only wish I had worn a white top because it would feel cooler on my body because it was hot when we visited. Some dressing up tips for people who are going to be visitng Las Casas: Comfort is your priority so be sure to wear 1) clothes that allows you to move a lot, 2) comfortable shoes, 3) a cap/sun visor, 4) sunnies, 5) an umbrella, and 6) a change of clothes if you’re planning to spend hours. Also, avoid caking on make-up, or if you really want to, make sure you were able to set it properly.

A little tidbit: would you believe that my top and culottes only cost me 500PHP?! Such a steal. <3
