FEATURED POSTS GRATITUDE LIST

JANUARY GRATITUDE LIST

February 3, 2017

Part of my goals for this year was to create a gratitude list each month so I would have something to look back on by the end of 2017. This is also the reason why I’m going to end my Friday’s 10 Happy Things because I keep forgetting to publish the post or I don’t get to finish the list. These are what I am thankful for this month of January.

I’m thankful for having another year to live and that we got to leave the shitfest that was 2016 alive. It was a struggle to get through the end of 2016 without going insane but I’m just so happy that everyone I know and hold dear powered through. I’m thankful for all the good things that happened to me last year but I’m much more thankful that I’m given another fresh start to make things better, to start off on the (hopefully) right foot.

I’m thankful for being able to publishing my first ever sponsored post. I was so giddy when one of my favorite brands reached out to me for a blog collaboration. It will always be special because it was the first that I was actually given an opportunity to review a brand on my blog. I’ve been blogging for years now but I always get so happy whenever companies/brands would reach out to me to have me write a post for them. Sometimes I get paid, sometimes I don’t but every collaboration matters because it means that they trust me enough to get me to write about them. Always such a good feeling to be recognized. <3

I’m thankful that I was able to submit my med school applications on time. I was so stressed because I still have some missing documents but I thankfully got them just in time, three days before the deadline! My interviews and entrance exam are scheduled on February and I hope I won’t get nervous! My voice shakes like crazy when I am and it always sounds like I’m about to cry.

I’m thankful for all the family time we’re having. December 2016, my aunts and uncles from abroad came home and it was a happy time because my mom’s family was complete. It’s always fun whenever they’re around because we always get to be together. I spent the New Year drinking with my cousins and it was so much fun because we got to talk about aduItthings now. And then we celebrated my aunt’s birthday out of town which was awesome because it gave us so much more time to bond. And then the week after that, we celebrated our grandmother’s birthday (may she rest in peace) and we ended up drinking again. HAHA. My cousins and I shared our most outrageous walwal moments and they cannot believe that I am that kind of person. Lol. For our aunt and uncle’s despedida get together during the last week of the month, we had our last walwal where just kept mixing whatever drink we could find with whatever powdered drink we have in stock. We played a Jenga drinking game which got us to drink more than we should. No one went home sober, and my sister got an embarassing video of me dancing. LOL.

January was such a good month for me. It’s a great way to start this year, and I’m hoping things would continue to be better. How was your month? 🙂
