Most of the people who know me well are aware of how much I like to shop. I’ve blogged about how much trouble I’ve been in with my mom because I spend too much on clothes and shoes. I did a 60-day shopping ban challenge and I’m proud that I was able to finish it. I’m now more able to control my shopping impulses, and can now go out of a store empty handed. I spend less now too, but from time to time, I’d buy a little something for myself and even then, I’m now more conscious about how much it costs and if it’s worth the amount.
When I was given the chance to try out ToSave. I agreed because I saw how cheap their prices are. They have a huge collection of shoes, clothes, bags, even electronics. I spent a good 2 hours browsing around the site and narrowing my choices to a sensible amount. I got four items and its total cost is still less than what I usually spend on ONE item in malls! I can’t quite believe it either but it’s real, I’m telling you!
Here are the cute items that I got that I’m bringing with me to my travels (or even just to my daily errands):
Suede Baseball Cap ($3.05). I’ve seen this design in-store of a well-known clothing brand and it costs $5 so I was hesitant. But when I saw how much less it costs in ToSave, I immediately added it to my cart! I like how sleek and versatile it looks while still being so trendy. The visor is sturdy — it doesn’t bend easily so it’s a good sign. I just really have to be careful when using it though as suede items aren’t really easy to clean.
Antler Pendant Necklace ($1.98). For years now, I’ve been wanting to have a necklace that I can wear on a daily basis. I’ve found a few ones but they were always fading so I hope this one would last for more than a week! The chain is a bit longer than I expected but it’s adjustable so that would do. I also like how super pretty the rose gold color is! <3
Bucket bag ($7.62). When I first saw this on their site, I immediately knew I had to have it. It’s big enough to put in all my travel essentials (wallet, powerbank, camera, phone, toiletry kit, and a change of shirt) so I don’t have to worry about fitting everything in such a tiny bag. I also like the style because it’s similar to the one Song Hye Kyo was using in Descendants of the Sun (hehe, I love her style omg). The only downside of this bag for me is that the detachable strap it comes with doesn’t look as sturdy as it should.
Donut socks ($2.01). I’ve always been fond of socks. I have an unreasonable amount that I rarely get to use because it’s almost always hot and humid in Manila. But I just couldn’t resist to not get this pair! Isn’t the donut detail the cutest? <3 And I love the fabric — it’s thick but still breathable.
I had a lot of fun browsing around and shopping at ToSave! It’s good to know that they ship worldwide and that they even accept Western Union as a mode of payment. What are your shopping favorites? 🙂
