Unlike the past few months, May had been slow. It’s probably because I didn’t have that much to keep me busy or I had ran out of things to do. Nevertheless, I still have things to be grateful about. This is my May Gratitude List.
Published all my Japan posts. I’m really glad I was able to blog about my trip, and I’m confident that I did it well. I still have a lot to improve on in terms of travel blogging but this is already a huge leap for me. I’ve received positive feedback from everyone, and I’m really thankful for you guys who took the time to read what I wrote! Even more thankful for those who went the extra mile and left a comment. <3 [RELATED: Japan 2017]
New thrift store finds. I found myself roaming a thrift store again when my dad sent me out to run some errands. It was such a good day because I found an awesome denim skirt and an oversized denim jacket! It only cost me 220PHP. I know that’s still too much considering how much cheaper it is at thrift stores in Manila but that’s already such a steal! This reminds me that I am yet to publish my thrift haul from April so I might as well include the ones from this month as well. Please watch out for that! 🙂
I unearthed my old analog point-and-shoot camera that I haven’t used since 2007 (that’s 10 years!). I looked at pictures taken with it on Flickr, and I’m pretty impressed with the output! Just sourcing out film stores where I can buy rolls for a cheaper price as well as places where I can have them scanned and printed. I’m also trying out a new editing style on my Instagram just satiate my longing for analog film. 😛 You can check it out on my Instagram: @pepperonipia.
We celebrated mom’s birthday during the last week of May. I’m so happy to see her so happy. She loved the Pandora charm we gave her as well as the birthday cards. Such a simple gesture but the result is priceless. We had lunch at a restaurant in Tanay, Rizal and view was amazing. It was overlooking the whole town with a view of Pililla Windmills from afar. So beautiful.
I finally tried to create a vaporwave art! My college classmate told me to try it out months ago and I only decided to do one now. So far, I’m liking it because I can just put random pictures together without fear that it’s not making that much sense. Should I publish a collage photodump again? I haven’t published one since March! In the spirit of trying out something new, I also mustered up the courage to film a vlog! It’s just a simple production that I shot and processed on my iPhone so please don’t be too hard on it. Lol. It should be up by the first week of May!
School is getting nearer and I’m both excited and scared. Mommy’s already asking me what stethoscope I’d like for her to bring home when she flies out next month. Lol. I know we’re not going to use it yet but it won’t hurt to be prepared! If you follow me on Instagram (@pepperonipia) you might have seen me post my pick from Littmann on my IG story. 😛 I also submitted an application for scholarship and I’m just waiting for an interview. I hope they’d grant my request because who doesn’t want a discount on med school tuition fee?
Lastly, I finally created a Facebook page for my blog. It took me such a long time to decide whether or not I should because I was thinking it might be too narcissistic of me (lol) but I caved in anyway. I’m really glad with the support that my family is giving with my blogging. HAHA. If you haven’t liked it yet, please do! 😀 [Here’s the link: Twenty and Lost]
May was pretty steady for me. Hoping June would be better! How was your month? 🙂
