It’s been a long time since I last posted something about skincare. I’m still not an expert but I’m very much still an avid enthusiast. Over the past year, I have given much more thought on what goes on my face and by now, I think I’ve pretty much got it. These products that I’ve been using for the past five months are now my skincare staples. I’ve never bought products more than once but I find myself restocking these twice a month! They’re doing their job on my skin and I’m very thankful for that.
Because my 60-day shopping ban is officially over and I just turned 21, I splurged a little and decided to buy myself some stuff! Now, I wasn’t really planning on getting the two out of the three packages but they were generous enough to gift me with discount coupons so I knew I just couldn’t resist. I was just going to get the culottes but I thought, hey why not add some skincare/hair/make-up stuff and a pair of jeans that I’ve been dying to have as well? I mean, it’s not everyday that I’m being given coupons to use for my shopping so I might as well just grab the chance. So here are the items that I got for myself from Copper, BeautyMNL, and Shopee.
I have seriously never imagined myself to be blogging about skincare because 1) skincare isn’t my priority, and 2) I don’t think I’d look the part as a skincare blogger. But now that I’m finally putting my skin as a part of my priorities, and I’m now taking a conscious effort to improve, if not maintain, my skin, I think I can really be an effective skincare blogger. HAHA. Not that I’m a pro but I think I have figured out what works best for me. I have blogged about my first serious skincare regimen with Soul, and after two months of using it, I can really say that it was effective for me. I didn’t break out as much and my pimple spots have really lightened and disappeared. But I am a lazy person, I hated having to line up at a bank to pay. So I weren’t able to follow through with that routine. I figured that I should go and try out a regimen with products that are easily and readily available at drugstores. (Also because, I received a huge gift certificate and I decided to spend it all on skin products. Lol.)
Ever since I was a teenager, I never really had a problem with pimples. Of course I break out (with one or two zits) during that time of the month but I was generally pimple-free. Then came the Great Break Out of 2015. I was a senior college student which meant I was busier than ever and my skin suffered. The sleepless nights and stress took a toll on my face and I kept having pimple on my chin. What used to only be three days of extreme insecurity (sponsored by the nasty pimple) became only three days of confidence because I swear, just as one pimple is drying up and healing, another one is threatening to pop up. SO STRESSFUL. So since last year (when I came to a realization that St. Ive’s apricot scrub isn’t doing anything for me anymore), I’m constantly on the look out for skincare products that would help me break out less.
