JAPAN: SHINJUKU

May 10, 2017

My cousin and I were left to explore Shinjuku on our own. It’s my favorite day because we were left to our own devices and we were able to test how good our sense of direction is. It took us a lot of walking and a few wrong trains but we always managed to find our way. I’m really thankful that we were given this free day to explore a new side of Tokyo. Continue Reading

JAPAN: ASAKUSA AND SHIBUYA

May 7, 2017

We finally set foot in Tokyo. It’s such a lively city with a lot of people and lot of places to see. So for our third day, we went to Asakusa and Shibuya. Both places are such huge tourist spots especially Asakusa, and Shibuya is really the world’s busiest crossing as it is literally swarmed with people. Let me tell you how our day went. JAPAN: LAKE KAWAGUCHIKO, MT. FUJI

May 3, 2017

While we were planning this trip, I made sure that our itinerary included seeing Mt. Fuji. What trip to Japan would be complete without seeing the beautiful mountain? I guess I was lucky enough that Kanagawa is near Yamanashi where Lake Kawaguchiko is located. We set out at 5:30AM to go on a train ride to Kawaguchiko, and we got to the station at about 8AM. We then took the sightseeing bus for about 30mins until we finally got off at Lake Kawaguchiko. Continue Reading

GRATITUDE LIST

APRIL GRATITUDE LIST

May 1, 2017

Just like the past month, April flew by fast. I didn’t realize that May is just around the corner until I looked at my calendar to check how long it has been since I last had my braces adjusted. I have big things to be thankful for this month. I don’t know what I did to receive everything on this gratitude list but I promise to make good use of them. Continue Reading

WHY COLLEGE IS MY GREATEST ADVENTURE, YET

April 29, 2017

April marks the month when I was finally able to achieve something big. It’s always a good memory to come back to, and I know that I will always remember it fondly. I finally graduated from college in April 2016 and it was surreal. Sure, when I was an undergrad I was always saying “am I really working my ass off for a piece of paper??“, but nothing can ever compare to the feeling of finally going up the stage to receive your diploma. More than anything though, graduation season makes everyone look back on all the years that had passed. So here’s an exported post from my previous blog as to why college is my greatest adventure. Yet. Continue Reading

JAPAN: NAGOYA AND KYOTO

April 27, 2017

We did a half-day trip of Nagoya and Kyoto before heading to Tokyo. It may sound ambitious but it’s totally do-able. Originally, before heading to Kyoto, we only went to the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium because we started the day late, and visited Nagoya Castle on our last day before heading to the airport. But for this post (can I even call this a travel guide? Lol) I’m going to write as though we first went to the aquarium, then to the castle, and finally to Kyoto. Continue Reading

JAPAN: AN UNEXPECTED TRIP

April 22, 2017

Two weeks ago, I finally set foot in the Land of the Rising Sun. It was so surreal because planning for this trip hasn’t been the easiest (and the cheapest). We only booked our airline tickets three weeks before we were supposed to leave, booked a flight to and from the wrong airport (we were supposed to stay only in Tokyo but I got a ticket to Nagoya), finalized our itinerary two days before flying out, and so much more. It was really stressful but it was all worth it. As I got off the plane and felt the cold spring breeze, I knew that the past month’s trip planning stress would be replaced by complete happiness.
